Get ready to build, paddle, and laugh! Think you can build a boat…out of cardboard? Put your creativity to the test in our 1st Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Vinton Swimming Pool! It’s for all ages!
Divisions: Single Skipper and Dual Skippers
Each division winners receive a traveling trophy and either a free pool party or skate party! Prize for the most creative boat and costume!
Register your boat at 5:30 pm, races start at 6:00 pm. Cost to enter is free!

Get ready to close out the weekend with a massive celebration! This action-packed Saturday features sports tournaments, stage performances, inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, mini car racing, a dunk tank, and train cars. WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: Programs that are held at V/S school locations will be cancelled when school is dismissed early or cancelled for the day due to inclement weather. Individuals and teams will not be called when those cancellations occur.
Programs that are held at VPRD facilities, it is at our descretion whether or not we cancel due to inclement weather. We will notify you of those cancellations. If you are unsure about a cancellation, call the VPRD office at 319-472-4164 during open hours.
